Which One Do YOU Feed?

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside all people. He said, 'My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.'

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: 'Which wolf wins?'

The old Cherokee simply replied, 'The one you feed.'

  1. I believe in feeding the good Wolf, it puts you in a good frame of mind which in turn helps you make good decisions in Life. When you put positive thoughts out to the universe, positve is what comes back to you.I’m not saying that the road in life will always be smooth, but it will help you get over the bumbs.

  2. I feed the Good Wolf, it is what I connect with on a soul basis. I do this because it comes natural, not for recognition but for my own truth.

  3. Seems like people don’t like to admit that at different times as humans we feed both wolves.
You need to make a concious choice to feed the good wolf more than the evil one. Evil is easier to feed and can take over faster. Be carerful and pay attention to your thoughts.
    Thoughts become things….

  4. Yes, it is easy to get carried off by the bad wolf, and the media tends to favor the bad one over the good one as well. So, very important to first remember that you have a choice. This is the difference between reacting and responding. If the shift is hard, choose a thought, a feeling and an action to align yourself with and feed the good one – align mental, emotional and physical bodies. Sometimes just thinking about it isn’t enough.

  5. Jesus said –

” Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Take time each morning to renew and reflect on God’s word
and His alone. For by doing so, the big bad wolf will have no
place in your heart. And take no thought for tomorrow – for
today has enough trouble all it’s own.

    1. I don’t understand your question, Vaanie. Are you referring to the breathing technique in another post? If so, then the numbers are how long you say with that breath 1.2.1.0 – inhale for one count, hold for two, exhale for one, then immediately inhale again.
